Macintosh 採用中性色調的深色背景（#000000），預設前景色為 #c0c0c0。正文的 WCAG 對比度為 11.54:1（AAA），12 種 ANSI 彩色槽位平均對比度 6.94:1，最低 1.81:1。

色板整體色彩飽和度較高，其中紅色為 #dd0907、綠色為 #1fb714、藍色為 #0000d3、洋紅為 #4700a5。
