MaterialDark 採用中性色調的深色背景（#222221），預設前景色為 #e4e4e4。內文的 WCAG 對比度為 12.52:1（AAA），12 種 ANSI 彩色槽位平均對比度 4.87:1，最低 1.32:1。

色票整體色彩彩度適中，其中紅色為 #b7141e、綠色為 #457b23、藍色為 #134eb2、洋紅為 #550087。此配色歸屬 Material 主題系列。
